Kirsten Kuhn Announces Candidacy for Douglas County Commission District 5
Douglas County, KS— Kirsten Kuhn, a long-time resident of Douglas County and dedicated government critic, today announced her candidacy for County Commission District 5.
With many years of experience in civic engagement and community activism, Kirsten Kuhn is uniquely qualified to view any increased governmental action with skepticism and an eye to detail. Her platform is built on our national heritage of freedom and self-ownership. Kirsten knows that no one knows how to run your life better than you do, and that the sole role of government is to protect your inherent liberties. Human flourishing is best achieved when people are allowed to build their lives themselves, not when they are hemmed in through regulations, licensing, and taxation at every level.
“I am excited to announce my candidacy for Douglas County Commission District 5,” said Kirsten. “As both a committed Libertarian and concerned Douglas County resident, I am committed to upholding the values of local governance, self-determination, and individual pursuit of happiness. I look forward to working with the people of Douglas County to remove the barriers to flourishing imposed upon them by local government.”
Kirsten would love to hear from her potential constituents and community stakeholders. Please reach out to donate, volunteer, or with any questions you might have.
